ABOUT LUCY

For Lucy Penfield, interior design is a powerful combination of DNA and dharma. When Lucy was a design student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, her professor opened a copy of Architectural Digest to a story on a Minneapolis condo. As he pointed to the chocolate brown lacquered walls, shimmering gold curtains and an antique Chinese screen, noting that this was one of the most beautiful rooms he'd ever seen, Lucy gasped. Later, when the professor asked Lucy about her response, she explained that the condo belonged to her father, a connoisseur of design and an avid collector of art, antiques, English silver and other treasures.

Over the years, Lucy has channeled her inherited love of design, her own passion for art, architecture and fashion, and an intuitive understanding of how her clients wish to live into a successful career as an interior designer. Based in Minneapolis, Lucy has created luxurious, timeless homes for clients in and around the Twin Cities as well as Phoenix, Tucson, Sonoma, Beaver Creek, Boulder, Chicago, Naples, Palm Beach, Boston, Bar Harbor, Westchester and Philadelphia.
